Recap of Hello Kitty Friends Around The World Tour

Hi Lovely!

I hope you’re having a smashing day! I recently went to the Hello Kitty Friends Around The World Tour and thought it would be fun to share a little recap with all of you!! This was a fun time for any Hello Kitty fan. The staff was super-nice and all-around wonderful.

You enter the building and are greeted by a flight attendant that can check you in for your flight. Once past her kiosk you see a baggage claim area, a large suitcase to pose with, and lots of colorful walls. They have a mini-gift shop at the entrance where you can purchase small items like hair clips, snacks, and customizable bracelets and key chains which you can pickup at the end.

Once your tour time starts you are greeted by two employees who take you around from room to room. During your time they tell you facts about Hello Kitty and help you take photos.

At the very end of the tour you can enter the tour exclusive gift shop! They have a ton of super-cute merchandise that you can only get at the event. I only purchased a few items but, if I had an unlimited budget, I would have bought a ton more! lol

In Seattle they had a special lodge area where you could get coffee, bubble tea, and snacks. It was pretty cute!

So here is the main question I’ve received. Is it worth it? For me, yes. I had an awesome time and thought it was all super-cute. If you aren’t a big Hello Kitty fan then you can probably skip it but if you are, you don’t want to miss it!

I hope that was helpful and you enjoyed my recap!! Have a wonderful day!!

Rocking my new Hello Kitty Cafe shirt!!

Hi Lovely!!

I am so excited about my latest t-shirt!!! You may know, just by looking at most of the outfits I share, I don’t wear t-shirts very often. I’ve been trying to add some cute ones to my closet to pair with skirts (or sweatpants depending on how lazy I feel) so while in California I decided to buy a shirt from the Hello Kitty Cafe. I already had the mug from when I visited the pop-up in Seattle and had regretted not getting the shirt. I mean, it’s Hello Kitty with a cute mound of desserts on top. So cute!!

This weekend I decided to style the top with one of my cute skirts. I think it turned out quite well!

I decided to wear my new shirt with this skirt because it seemed like the warmer choice. While the weather isn’t cold enough for snow, it’s still pretty cold! I’ve been trying to wear whatever I can to stay warm. I added this cute purple purse to add more color and wore my adorable mint shoes to make it more pastel. Cute, right?

I think next time I might try my purple skirt with my new t-shirt. It would be a lot of color but I like that kind of style.

So, how would you style this shirt? I’d love some suggestions!!!

My cute filled weekend recap!

Hello Lovely,

This last weekend was filled with lots of super fun, super cute activities so I thought I would do a little weekend recap! Yay!

Friday was crazy busy. I left straight from work and headed to Seattle for Jenny Lawson‘s book signing and the Hello Kitty Supercute party at the Experience Music Project (EMP). Fletch, my husband, was sweet enough to come along. I am so glad he did because I definitely wouldn’t have had as much fun without him.IMG_6677

We arrived to the book signing late and missed the whole reading, which was a bit of a bummer. We found out once we were there that our signing group was group D, the last one. So, we skipped the signing and instead chatted with my awesome friend, Jenn, who was also at the signing before heading off to the Hello Kitty event.

The Hello Kitty party was really cool! I was invited by UNIQLO and I am so glad I went! The place was PACKED with Hello Kitty lovers. By the time we got there most of the activities had run out of materials so we just walked around and looked at the new Hello Kitty exhibit, which the party was celebrating.

Saturday was filled with more Seattle Hello Kitty time! My dear friend, Chinda, and I woke up early to snag yummy treats from the Hello Kitty Cafe. The cafe was visiting for the weekend in honor of the exhibit opening. We waited outside for 2 hours to get our adorably expensive treats. It was totally worth it.

After the Hello Kitty Cafe we ate lunch at Metropolitan Market and headed off to the Daiso store. We found some cute items, which I did not take photos of. Sorry about that. It was a pretty busy day but awesome!

Once Sunday finally rolled around I was pretty tuckered out. I spent the morning lounging around and the afternoon/early evening hanging out with my new IRL friend, Kristina of Eccentric Owl. Kristina and I chatted, drank coffee, played with her adorable kids, and kind of watched Doctor Who while talking over it. So basically it was the best Sunday ever. I am so excited to have a new friend and Kristina is amazing. She lives like 15 minutes away and we have a ton in common. I hope we make hanging out a regular thing. Hmm. I should set up a regular date with her. I’ll get on that.

That was my weekend! It was filled to the brim and I loved every minute of it. I am so thankful for all of my wonderful friends and for being able to spend quality time with those that mean the world to me. It is pretty much the best thing in the world.

What did you do this weekend?

What I’ve Been Up To Lately!

Hello Lovely!

I haven’t been updating you on what I’ve been up to much lately (sorry about that :/). I’ve been doing pretty well at sharing photos from my adventures on Instagram but, in case you’ve missed them, here is a nice roundup on what’s been going on with little ole’ me! Warning: this will be photo heavy!

California Trip

July was a crazy month! I went to California to visit my mom and dad for the first weekend of the month. It was wonderful taking a little break from Washington and getting to spend time with my family. Fletch and I even went to the beach!

Vegas Trip

The next weekend I was off to Vegas! I met up with the wonderful Rosie, Tez, and Karen. We had a great time walking around, grabbing drinks, and enjoying the area. I felt like I was melting basically everyday, so I could have done without the heat.

Dashboard Confessional Concert

Towards the end of July, Dashboard Confessional came to my area and I knew I HAD to go. Fletch was super sweet and tagged along. I had an amazing time! Fletch’s friend, Shawn, was touring with the band and took us backstage after the show for a private performance. It was AMAZING!! Yes that is me with Chris Carrabba!

Hello Kitty Supercute Friendship Festival

You may know by now that I like basically anything that could be considered cute. With that little nugget of knowledge it is probably no surprise that I went to the Hello Kitty Supercute Friendship Festival. I had a great time hanging out with my friend Chinda and her friends. You can read a brief little recap here on Sub-Cultured, a blog I contribute to.

Renegade Craft Fair

I’ve known about Renegade Craft for a while now. I always wanted to go but they never came close enough to me. That is why when I heard they were making a stop in Seattle I made it a priority to go! I love supporting small businesses so craft fairs are pretty much my favorite. I met the wonderful Brianna of Little Arrow which was really awesome after chatting on Instagram. I found a few other really awesome shops named Thousand Skies, Monster Songs, and Pepper-Tea.

Fall Out Boy Concert

Another amazing experience that happened in the last month or so was going to the Fall Out Boy concert!!! I have an ongoing list of bands I want to see live and Fall Out Boy was the last of my epic list. (That would be a good blog post. My concert dream list along with photos! Alright I will definitely write that later.) Anywho, I went to see Fall Out Boy and had a great time. I stood in line with my friend, Rachel, for almost an hour which was good because while standing there two people from Click 98.9 gave us their tickets so we moved from the general lawn seats to close up seats. YES! We were there so early that we were able to get into the beer garden, grab a table, and chill for like 45minutes. We then went and enjoyed the show from our $70 seats and afterward we hit the restroom where I found $9 in a bathroom stall! I felt guilty for taking the potty money but everyone in the bathroom told me to take it. I still felt guilty so I had Rachel take the money which she later gifted back to me. No negative karma, right? The evening was a night to remember and totally worth the 10+ years I’ve waited to see them!

fall out boy recap

So that is what has been going on with me!! Things have been crazy busy and I’ve loved every minute of it!!! I feel so very fortunate to be able to do so many fun things with so many wonderful people.

What have you been up to?
