When I was younger, my favorite store was Sanrio. It was located at the mall across town so I didn’t get to go very often. But when I did, oh goodness, did I love it. I’d save up my money so I could go to Sanrio and buy pens, pencils, and notebooks. I especially loved their surprise bags. I can’t remember how much they were but I adored the thrill of picking a bag to see what was included. It makes sense that I now love blind boxes and subscription boxes.
Recently, I rediscovered my love for Hello Kitty and the Sanrio bunch. I decided to attend the Hello Kitty Friendship Festival and that really reignited the love I have for the cute characters. Now, a few years after that adorable event, I’ve gotten back into Sanrio and decided that I wanted to showcase my love.
I recently saw a friend on Instagram wearing a Hello Kitty dress and knew immediately that I wanted to add it to my wardrobe. I added it to my Christmas wish list and hoped that maybe someone would get it for me. As you may guess, someone did. My amazing Dad surprised me with the dress on Christmas day. As soon as I opened that box and tore the tissue paper, I fell in love with the dress.
It has an adorable collar, sweet little lace details, and it even has pockets! WHAAAT? I know. Any dress with pockets = best thing ever.

I am so excited about my latest t-shirt!!! You may know, just by looking at most of the outfits I share, I don’t wear t-shirts very often. I’ve been trying to add some cute ones to my closet to pair with skirts (or sweatpants depending on how lazy I feel) so while in California I decided to buy a shirt from the Hello Kitty Cafe. I already had the mug from when I visited the pop-up in Seattle and had regretted not getting the shirt. I mean, it’s Hello Kitty with a cute mound of desserts on top. So cute!!
This weekend I decided to style the top with one of my cute skirts. I think it turned out quite well!

What Fletch usually sees in between photos. He was sweet enough to snap this so I could show you. haha
I decided to wear my new shirt with this skirt because it seemed like the warmer choice. While the weather isn’t cold enough for snow, it’s still pretty cold! I’ve been trying to wear whatever I can to stay warm. I added this cute purple purse to add more color and wore my adorable mint shoes to make it more pastel. Cute, right?
I think next time I might try my purple skirt with my new t-shirt. It would be a lot of color but I like that kind of style.
So, how would you style this shirt? I’d love some suggestions!!!
I’ve been eyeing products from JapanLA for a very long time but could never pull the trigger. Their products are ridiculously cute but a bit pricey. I never found anything that I felt comfortable spending money on. That is, until I saw this cute My Melody tank top! It was in their sale section so it was just the right price and too cute to pass up.
