Last week I was on a bit of a Spice Girls kick. I listened to them… a lot.. and then started watching a documentary on them that I happened-upon on YouTube. It was an hour long so I didn’t finish it (yet). I was feeling inspired by girl power so when I was picking out my outfit for Saturday I decided to rock my adorable “Girl Power” shirt from Luella. Fletch and I were going to a concert later in the evening so I was looking for something that would be cute and comfy. I think my outfit was a success!

Happy Tuesday my dear friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far. I’m still reminiscing about my weekend. Saturday I drove up to Seattle to have a yummy lunch with my friend, Bunny. Bunny and I met after I stopped at her booth at several different conventions. We then started chatting on Instagram and decided to hang out. I wanted to get dolled up for our first IRL hang so I wore my super-cute Bonne Chance dress. I adore this dress. It’s pink with scrumptious desserts all over and a cute kingdom scene at the bottom. This is one of the earlier Bonne Chance dresses I bought and it’s still one of my favorites.

If you haven’t met Sanrio’s newest character, Aggretsuko, then allow me to introduce you! She’s a cute red panda that works in an accounting department. She’s kind of a push-over in the office so when she reaches her limit she takes out her frustration with heavy metal karaoke. While I don’t really listen to metal music I can totally relate to Aggretsuko. We all have those days when work really gets to us and we have to unwind. I think her relatability is why people are falling in love with this character.
As soon as she was introduced I knew she would be in my top favorites of Sanrio characters. They didn’t start releasing merchandise for her until recently and I’ve gobbled it up. At San Diego Comic Con they released a con-exclusive shirt so I asked a friend who was attending to pick it up for me (thanks Elana!) Sanrio also recently released ita bags, one being Aggretsuko themed, so I purchased that too. I’m working on building up my collection.

Today’s post is a bit of a combo. I’m sharing a super-cute new dress and some fun photos I took with my wonderful friend, Kristina of The Eyre Effect. We recently got together to take outfit photos and thrift, which always makes for fun yet awkward photos. The dress is a cute little number I bought from Bonne Chance Collections. I’m not sure if you’ve picked up on this yet but they make up most of my closet lately. I can’t help but fall in love with every piece I buy from their shop. It’s all so cute!!!
On to the outfit photos and the snaps of Kristina and I!

Happy Friday! This weekend I’ll be spending quality time with friends and family. On Saturday I’m going on a thrifting adventure with my dear friend, Kristina of the Eyre Effect then heading up to Seattle to attend a food fair with Fletch and my big bro, Dayton. Sunday will be more of a chill day but I plan on heading up to my favorite local kawaii store, Sweet Kitty, to pick up a few items they’re holding for me.
When I have full weekend like this I like to look cute but feel comfy. When your day is go go go there’s nothing worse than a dress making it hard to breath or shoes killing your feet. I strive to find a happy balance between looking awesome while also feeling awesome. This look is one of those perfect combos.
