The dress that my Mother bought me

Hi Lovely!

Happy Friday!  This weekend I’ll be spending quality time with friends and family. On Saturday I’m going on a thrifting adventure with my dear friend, Kristina of the Eyre Effect then heading up to Seattle to attend a food fair with Fletch and my big bro, Dayton. Sunday will be more of a chill day but I plan on heading up to my favorite local kawaii store, Sweet Kitty, to pick up a few items they’re holding for me.

When I have full weekend like this I like to look cute but feel comfy. When your day is go go go there’s nothing worse than a dress making it hard to breath or shoes killing your feet. I strive to find a happy balance between looking awesome while also feeling awesome. This look is one of those perfect combos.

Walking On Sunshine

Hello Lovely!!

Fletch and I are in Memphis this week to visit family. I’m really glad we get to catch up (and that I can take off time from work). Fletch’s mom is moving soon so we’re spending the majority of our time going through all of his old stuff. It’s like peeking into his past. My mother-in-law showed me an album of all of the smocked outfits she made along with a few photos of little Fletch in the adorable little clothes.

The outfit I’m sharing today is from a a few weeks ago. It’s so hot here in Memphis that I don’t plan on getting dolled up all week.

Our plans while here include visiting the Memphis zoo, catching up with Fletch’s friends, and Fletch is playing a gig this Friday. He hasn’t played in a while and I’m excited to hear his songs again live.

I’m thankful for this time we’re spending back at Fletch’s home. Spending quality time with his family is so incredibly special. I’m glad we were able to make this trip happen.

What have you been up to?

Keeping Cool With This Look

Hi Lovely!

A few weekends ago we had a spell of warm weather so I busted out my cute (yet comfy) ice cream dress. The fabric is nice and stretchy which allows for maximum comfort when you feel like you might die from heat exhaustion. Since it was worm I decided not to add much on the accessories side. When I’m sweaty the last thing I want is to be dealing with chunky necklaces getting stuck to my chest.

As you might notice I have a new ita bag! My purple bag’s zipper broke so I bought a new one. Then I ended up fixing the purple bag so I now have two ita backpacks! I’m not complaining. What I love about ita bags is that I can display cute charms and pins without having to worry about then falling off or getting banged up. They’re safe and protected for the world to see and enjoy.

Girl Power!

Hi Lovely!!

I’m so excited to share this look with you!!! I saw a friend wearing this top on Instagram and I immediately fell in love with it. The message, the colors–it spoke to me. So, when payday came around I jumped on my phone (not literally) so I could buy the cutie. After receiving it I went back and forth on how to style it. I settled on my tulle skirt, mostly because it hadn’t been on the blog yet (blog reader, meet cute, tulle skirt). I’m also rocking my brand new, super-cute tote bag from The Pink Samurai!! I love that she designed a bag that you can use to show off all of your cute pins. It’s perfect!!

My Wonder Woman Day Outfit

Hi Lovely!

I hope you’re having a great day my dear! As you may know the hit new movie, Wonder Woman came out over the weekend and we celebrated Wonder Woman day! It was a pretty awesome weekend, if you ask me. On Friday, Fletch and I went to see the movie. That’s right, I was out on a Friday night. If you were thinking about seeing the movie then I highly suggest you do. It was awesome!! I was so worried that it was going to be as bad as Batman vs. Superman. Thank goodness it wasn’t!

Fletch and I then hit up Wonder Woman day at a few local comic book stores. We put on our WW gear and represented. I felt so cute and just had to share my look with you!
