OH MY GOSH! I’m really excited about this outfit. Bonne Chance Collections recently released a new Mickey Mouse themed two piece shirt and skirt and I jumped at the chance to add it to my wardrobe. Honestly, I was worried that it wouldn’t fit and if it did that it wouldn’t look good. I’m happy to say that it fits and I LOVE the way I look in it. I’m labeling this as a success!!

I recently entered a giveaway hosted by Geek Girl Gang on Instagram and I won!! I was soo surprised! I wanted to buy their “Geek Girl Gang” pin and fell in love with their “Comics and Champagne” shirt after seeing it so this giveaway was perfect. To make the look more me, I decided to pair this cute (and comfy) shirt with my light purple skirt and mint green cardigan to add color to the look. You’ve probably noticed I like wearing color. I’m digging how the styling turned out!

I wore this adorable look out to coffee with my friends and a guy stopped to ask about my shirt. His wife really liked it and they wanted to know where I got it. I love moments like those! Connecting with strangers over common interests. I think that’s why I love wearing nerdy clothing or pins all over my bags. You have an immediate connection.
I’m loving that so many small businesses are embracing things deemed “nerdy” and making products that allow us, the consumer, to showcase our passions. We can wear shirts with our favorite superheroes on them. Shops like Her Universe and Jordandené now make it easy to look stylish and geeky all at the same time. Now more than ever we have a ton of options when it comes to showing the world what’s in our hearts.
How do you wear your nerdy loves on your sleeve?
I hope you’re having a great day!! Today’s post features an adorable long sleeve dress! The weather has started to warm up so I wanted to pull this cutie out of the closet before it got too hot. I adore the dashing little scallop collar and the cute matching sleeves. The fabric is super-stretchy so it’s comfy to wear around town. I wore this little number on Saturday for a hangout sesh with Fletch and our friend Shauna.

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you all had a spectacular day. I spent my day hanging out with my super-rad brother, Dayton, and my awesome (and super-cute) partner, Fletch. We had a great time eating a scrumptious brunch and walking around Seattle. Fletch’s Mom is in Memphis and my Mother passed last year so getting together with family seemed like the best plan for today. It was perfect.
This weekend was… interesting, to say the least. On Wednesday evening Fletch realized our toilet was clogged. He spent 30 minutes trying to get the darn thing fixed with no luck. This isn’t an unusual thing for our house. The house we rent is old and we’ve had issues in the past with the plumbing. On Thursday a plumber comes out and determines that it’s too complicated for him and that someone else has to come out. On Friday a plumber comes out and spends hours messing with the plumbing. When I come home we check on the bathroom only to find a pool of sewage water all over the ground. I won’t go into too much detail but it was a crappy situation (literally) and poo was everywhere. At this point we could no longer use the plumbing for fear of screwing up more stuff. The plumber on Friday found a hole in the pipe under the house so water was everywhere down there. So, Friday we stayed at a hotel and headed back to the house to check on things Saturday.
