I had a blast at this year’s Sakura-Con and I’m super excited to tell you all about it! This year I was able to attend as press which is awesome! It takes some stress off financially and allows me to share my experience with you!
This year’s con was my favorite! Fletch and I took it easy and mostly just walked around. We planned ahead and brought food (always a good idea) so we didn’t have to stress about figuring out what to get. Fletch was amazing the whole time. Even though it’s not really his scene he was a good sport about it and really helped by taking photos and filming.
As I already said I had an awesome time this year at Sakura-Con. I saw a ton of stunning cosplays (don’t worry I took photos), saw visited with friends, and bought a few really cute items! That to me makes for an amazing convention experience. What I really enjoy about this specific convention is the atmosphere. It is one of acceptance, joy, and a lot of passion! People really connect and identify with characters and it shines at this event. I’ve been to several different conventions and I think this one is definitely one of my favorites.
Now you get to see my photos (sorry there are so many).
Watch my vlog!!
If you like anime and have the chance to attend this convention I definitely recommend you do. It can be a bit pricey if you wait to buy your ticket so make sure you buy early! I also suggest staying in Seattle if you can. They have events planned starting early in the morning and going late into the night. Have a hotel within walking distance allows you to rest (or have a costume change) whenever you feel like it.
I hope you enjoyed my recap! Let me know what you want to see more of in the comments below.
