Last weekend Fletch and I took a little trip up to Seattle for the day. My friend, Bunny (S2Hearts), hosts an event called Mahouto Market and she needed a few more volunteers. Fletch and I went up to Seattle early Saturday morning to help setup and decorate. We spent all morning getting things setup and then walked around the event for a few moments after it started. There were a ton of really amazing artists!!!
We then rushed off to grab lunch before heading over to the Pacific Science Center for the Terracotta Warriors exhibit. It was an amazing exhibit!! They had the statues roped off but you could get super-close.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to visit China to see the sculptures in person so seeing a few here in Seattle was a nice compromise.
After reading as many of the small plaques as one can handle we exited the special exhibit and wandered around the rest of the Pacific Science Center. I had been there before to see other traveling exhibits but never bothered to look around at the other exhibits at the center. So, we walked about and visited the other areas. It was so cool! I didn’t realize that they had a dinosaur area or a butterfly house.
We walked until our feet ached then decided to head home, back to Tacoma.
It was a marvelous day. Busy and tiring, but so amazing. I love days like these. A day made of memories that I’ll have for years to come. Me and my boo, Fletch. Laughing and taking silly photos.
Have you had any fun weekends recently? I want to hear about it!!
